Elle Anderson
About

The person behind the practice.

I lead complex change and transformation in product organisations — the kind built on emerging capability, not another reorg. My work sits where new technology meets the operating model: I’ve led data-science, machine-learning and AI products since 2018, and built the product functions and cultures that decide whether that capability actually changes how a company works.

The skills were never the hard part. The real work is the system around them — the decision rights, the funding model, and the habits that decide whether new capability survives contact with the org chart.

Elle Anderson, product and transformation leader

That career has run inside product development at LEGO, Bupa, Kraft Heinz, Capital One, Lloyds, Tesco Bank, Bloomberg, Domino’s and Walmart, so when a product manager tells me what’s really getting in their way, it’s rarely news. I’m an American who’s made the UK home for over 20 years — and I test everything on myself first: the AI coach my cohorts use started as the one I built for my own work.

01 · The practice
AI, in production

My focus since 2018 has been data science and machine learning — shipping ML before the gold rush — and lately how product people actually adopt AI: where it sticks, where it stalls, and what moves a team from AI-curious to AI-fluent.

People

The other half of my practice is people. I lead strong product functions and stretch capable product people into leaders who solve complex problems and delight customers. My method is manager-as-coach, built on ICF and ICAgile qualifications and a simple conviction:

The people in front of me are beyond capable. They don’t need fixing, they need stretching — so their ideas can reach the next level.

Thinking with my hands

I’m a trained visual facilitator and an illustrator — the video on the home page is me at my craft table, because drawing the problem is often how a room finally sees it. It’s an unusual string to a product leader’s bow, and it changes what workshops, strategy sessions and offsites can do.

Writing & service

I’m a UK Armed Forces spouse, and I’ve built this career around my husband’s service. I put the same craft to work for the forces community — and I write for the U.S. Army’s public affairs team.
